Fabulous Fall & Winter Breaks on an Ocean Beach!
The Beach House on Hatfield Road in Nova Scotia is absolutely gorgeous in the fall and winter, and a perfect place for a weekend break or a mini-vacation. The ocean is many shades of blue, tidal waves are magnificent, sunsets and sunrises bright and invigorating, and nothing - but nothing - is as rejuvenating as the Parrsboro Shore's cool, fresh, clean sea air.
I hope that you enjoy this issue of the Coast News, its links to recent media coverage, and pictures of fall views from the cottage's location.

Forbes.com - Fall Rental Guide
Betsy Schiffman of Forbes.com called me in September to talk about autumn colours on the Bay of Fundy and in Nova Scotia. Betsy had found the Beach House on the internet, and from looking at its pictures, she thought the fall colours around the cottage and in the area must be amazing. During our discussion about the Beach House and Nova Scotia, Betsy asked in she could quote me in a story for Forbes.com. Have a look at their Fall Rental Guide 2004 to see Betsy's article.
National Geographic Traveler profiles beautiful shore region
The Halifax Herald Limited had a great article in its November 4, 2004 issue about the Parrsboro Shore. Tom McCoag, Herald's Amherst Bureau, described the National Geographic Traveler's profile of the Parrsboro Shore in its November/December 2004 issue. The National Geographic Traveler's 12-page spread opens with a picture of the lighthouse at Cap d'Or. For a quick look at the pictures in the article, visit the National Geographic's web site.
Those of you who have already visited the Beach House will recognize the gorgeous views and attractions, all within a beautiful half-hour's drive.
Many thanks to Joyce Mingo, Executive Director, Central Nova Tourism Association for sending information to CNTA members about these two articles. Joyce is consistently on top of things, and does an excellent job promoting the Fundy Shore Region. For more information about the general area, visit CNTA's web site: Two Distinct Coasts - One Incredible Experience.
Fall Colours at the Beach House
Fall colours are part of nature's pristine elegance in Nova Scotia. Picture yourself tucked inside the Beach House with fires roaring, listening to the tidal waves, and watching these fall scenes change as the days move from sunrise to sunset.

Do you see the rolling hills, red blueberry fields, and the trees, which make the Beach House private and secluded?
Views from the bedroom balcony

Isn't it fun to be above the trees?

Move to the front balcony on the Bay of Fundy, and take a look at these incredible fall scenes. The road along the coast (on your right) leads to Cap d'Or, Cape Chignecto, and Advocate, all of which Tom McCoag mentioned in his article in the Halifax Herald.

Next, walk around the Beach House grounds to get the outdoor perspective.

After your walk, come back to the Beach House for an invigorating rest in front of the fireplace - roast marshmallows, make fondue, dream by the fire, do whatever.
